Ferrer Miller Duo

Cellist Chris Ferrer and I started playing together in 2024 when we couldn't resist a spontaneous runthrough of the Shostakovich Sonata after hours of trio rehearsal. It was so thrilling we decided to play a concert together and build a duo around music that had personal significance for us.

We're building a dynamic repertoire of music by composers we know (Seth Boustead, Amy Wurtz!), composers we wish we'd known (Prokofiev, Chopin, Debussy!), with lots of excursions into Turkish Tango and pop music, vocally inspired music, and more! In different ways, we both have a lifelong affinity for the out doors, and are always looking for ways to bring this into our music making.

Active throughout the Chicago area, we have performed in various venues including The CheckOut, Fourth Presbyterian Church, United Lutheran Church, PianoForte Studios, and more.
