Brahms, Schubert and Mushrooms - Updates from Cacie

Brahms, Schubert and Mushrooms - Updates from Cacie
A lil' amanita (and some biguns too) popped up just outside our tent in Kettle Moraine State Forest in early July.

Happy summer, folks!

Other than the Water Music concert with Chris, June moved quickly with successive graduations for my two sons from high school and middle school, a send-off of Chris on his river tour, meandering through woods with my beloved John, organizing a concert series for United Lutheran Church, and studying scores for upcoming projects.

I'll be playing in a few special concerts in the coming six weeks. I'll post more detailed announcements for each concert as it approaches, but wanted to share essential information about them in this update too.

July 27, 3PM - House Concert in Chicago - Helia Trio will be performing Brahms B Major Trio and Ravel Trio with Maria Storm, violin, Christopher Ferrer, cello and me, Cacie on piano. You can watch a clip from our first performance of Brahms here. Send me a message if you'd like the address for this event (seating is limited).

August 10, 3PM - Concert with Maria Storm at United Lutheran Church - come out and hear us play Brahms D Minor Sonata for Piano and Violin, as well as some other works by Bartok, Dvorak and more!

August 17, 3PM - Concert with Bing Jing Yu at United Lutheran Church - we'll be playing works for violin and piano by Mozart, Schubert, Ravel, and Chen Yi.

More lil' mushrooms from Wisconsin. Happy Summer!
